The Secret Garden 2024

 LCB are delighted to announce the revival of one of our most popular productions:

The Secret Garden, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Erico Montes' wonderful choreography will be revived by Gemma Pitchley-Gale, Ballet Mistress on the original 2013 production.
The ballet tells the story of young Mary Lennox who journeys to England from India, following her mother’s death, to live with her Uncle. Her curiosity getting the better of her; she reveals the mystery of the Secret Garden and determines to bring it back to life; for the better of the house, and her newly discovered cousin, Colin.

LCB is looking for 50 talented young dancers (girls aged 9-14, boys 9-16) to star in our 2024 ballet, The Secret Garden, at the Peacock Theatre (4th- 7th July). 48 dancers will also be selected for LCB’s community touring companies (click here to find more information about our touring company). The ballet will feature a host of wonderful soloist and corps de ballet roles for boys and girls. All roles are danced by children. Dancers will receive over 100 hours of expert coaching on Sunday afternoons, culminating in eight West End performances with a live orchestra. There is no fee for the LCB training and performance experience - although we would appeal to those who are happy to make a contribution to do so, as we depend on charitable support to ensure that the experience remains open to all. LCB encourages applications from ALL passionate young dancers, choosing dancers based on talent and star quality alone. All are welcome. We are casting a narrative ballet and need diversity in our characterization. We deliberately do all we can to make the audition an enjoyable day as we know that there will be many first-time audition candidates.

Sunday 8 October - Prelim 11 years and boys
Sunday 29 October - Overspill (if needed)
Sunday 5 November - Prelim 12 years and 13 years
Sunday 12 November - Prelim -13 and 14 years
Sunday 19 November - Final Auditions

Sunday 7 January - Casting

**As well as the date specified for your age please keep overspill day free, which will only be used if we receive a large number of applications. 

Rehearsal Dates

Please check the rehearsal schedule carefully before registering as FULL commitment is required. 

LCB only gives exceptions, with prior notice, to those who are called for vocational auditions.
